What is fermentationUpdated 2 months ago
Fermentation is the breakdown of a substance (food, etc) by bacteria or yeast. The fermentation most people are familiar with is anaerobic fermentation, and it occurs in the absence of oxygen. This is how beer and other brewed beverages are made, as well as foods such as kimchi or sauerkraut. To craft our fermented minerals, we use a form of aerobic fermentation with the yeast Sacchromyces cerevisiae. This is a similar process to anaerobic, however it occurs in the presence of oxygen.
We utilize this process as it allows us to deliver minerals in a way that can be taken at any time of day, even on an empty stomach.
