Zinc/Copper deficiencyUpdated 2 months ago

Typical diets in the US meet or exceed the copper RDA. 

Deficiency can occur with intake of zinc at 60 mg per day for more than 2 months.1 This is why the upper limit for zinc was set at 40 mg per day except when taking acutely.
