Anytime there is a new study that is of concern to our consumers, we work with our Principle Nutrition Scientist and other teams to understand the concern and its application, if any, to our products. Below are some of their thoughts: 

Given a thorough review of the original study, there is no association between vitamin B3 and cancer. This article primarily explains a new technology that can be used as a probe to trace the pathway of nicotinamide riboside (known as NR) through the body. While Nicotinamide and Niacinamide do mean the same thing, neither are the same as NR. NR is a much larger and more complex molecule that is a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) further down the NAD synthesis pathway. Considering that MegaFood uses niacinamide and not NR, these articles do not apply to our product. In summation, this article does not establish any connection with Vitamin B3 and the cause of any cancers.
