High Biotin LevelsUpdated 2 months ago
Before 2020, the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for Biotin was 300 mcg (100% DV). Latest recommendations, however (according to the NIH ODS) set the Adequate Intake (AI) of biotin for adult men and women (including pregnancy) to 30 mcg, and 35 mcg for lactation. Therefore, 300 mcg now delivers 1000% DV. That being said, no upper limit has yet been determined for biotin, and it is considered safe at this potency. Note: Biotin may interfere with lab tests. If you are taking medication or planning to undergo lab testing, consult your physician before use.
