Cruciferous vegetables and thyroid productsUpdated 2 months ago

Q: If a consumer has thyroid problems that dictate they must stay away from cruciferous vegetables, is it recommend that they avoid MegaFood products because of the inclusion of cabbage and broccoli?

A: If an individual has been instructed by their doctor to avoid all cruciferous vegetables, then it is recommended that they not take any of our products that are made with cruciferous vegetables.

In general, individuals with thyroid issues are often still allowed to consume 1-2 servings of cruciferous vegetables per day. In these cases, our multivitamins provide far less than a full serving of cruciferous vegetables and should be fine when taken under a doctors guidance. Please consult with your healthcare practitioner before taking any new supplement.
