Carbohydrates / Macronutrients in MegaFood ProductsUpdated 2 months ago
Q: How many calories/grams of protein/carbohydrate/fat/sodium is in this product? Etc.
A typical MegaFood product (aside from gummies or chews) is not a significant source of carbohydrate, fat, or protein and therefore contributes very little to total calories. Each serving of nutrient booster contributes less than 5 calories per serving, which is regarded as zero per FDA nutrition labeling regulations. Unlike conventional food, dietary supplements cannot declare dietary ingredients in the Supplement Facts that are not present, or that are present in amounts that can be declared as zero. Therefore, the amount of calories per serving is not declared on the label.
