Brand Transformation FAQsUpdated 2 months ago

Q. With the new MegaFood Label Design, will product formulas change?

A.   MegaFood’s New Package Design change does not impact formulas.  It delivers a new look while keeping the same trusted formulas you know and love.  (No UPC changes are necessary - only for sales)

Q.   Why do some MegaFood products state “Tested for 125 Pesticides” while other communicate “Tested for 150 Pesticides”

A.   MegaFood takes its obligation to consumers seriously and includes a testing program to verify that our products do not contain residues of specific pesticides. All our finished products are tested to ensure that our high standards are met. Each individual test includes checking for the residue of over 150 pesticides available to the agricultural industry.  MegaFood has been testing for 150+ pesticides since 2023 and it will take until later in 2024 for all of our product labels other communication materials to be updated.

Q.   Why does MegaFood’s Glyphosate Residue free certification no longer appear on packaging?

A.   Glyphosate is the world’s most-used herbicide and is harmful to human health. MegaFood was the First VMS company to pursue Glyphosate Residue Free certification and partners with the Detox Project to more broadly advocate for the banning of its use. The Glyphosate Residue Free (GRF) label will no longer be on our product packaging, however, we will continue to strive for all our products to be GFR certified. The certification can be found on each product detail page (PDP) on MegaFood.com.

Q. Why did the seals and certifications on your labels change?

A. Our formulas and process haven't changed, and that includes our testing, seals, and certifications. On our labels we have prioritized those seals that are most important to our mission, and share the most important information with you (or with our consumers) in a clear and easy to read way. However all of our existing testing, seals, and certifications can still be found on our website. Below are the changes that we've made:

Added 1% for the Planet & Retained Certified BCorp

Added How 2 Recycle

Tested for 125+ Pesticides updated to 150+

Q: Why has a QR code been added to the label?

A: Our new labels feature a QR code that you can easily scan to learn more about a product or specific health need, like pregnancy or stress, on our website.

Q: Your labels look and feel different. Have they changed?

A: Yes! We've switched our label paper to one with create post-consumer recycled content to decrease our environmental impact

Q: What is this new How2Recycle logo?

A: The How2Recycle logo is a standardized label that helps to communicate disposal instructions, making it easier for consumers to understand how to recycle our products.
