Who can take this product?

The recommended dose of elemental iron for girls aged 14-18 years of age is 15 mg . 

During pregnancy, the recommended dose for the same age range (14-18 years) is higher at a dose of 27 mg of elemental iron. 

Iron is "likely safe" during pregnancy, but as always, we recommend consumers to "consult with their medical practitioner if they have been treated for, diagnosed with, or have a family history of any medical condition."

Why is there not folate in this product? 

We are not able to stabilize folate in the liquid format at this time. 

Can this product stain teeth?

Product can cause temporary teeth staining. 

How long can this product remain unrefrigerated after opening before it should be discarded? 

Based on our testing, we recommend discarding the product if it is unsealed and non-refrigerated for one week or longer.
