Q: How much calcium is contributed to a formulation when it is part of another nutrient's composition? (See folate example below)
A: A calcium salt is used during the synthesis of the finished vitamin and is part of the final molecular structure. We have included it on the label to be transparent about the source of these vitamins, however there are only trace amounts of calcium present as a result of these ingredients. If there was a meaningful amount of calcium present (above 2% of the daily value) it would be disclosed on the label.
